Pipeline non-excavation improvement technology

When replacing old pipes, most depend on the method of excavating the ground and replacing the buried pipe. Therefore, the excavation method (open-cut) is likely to damage other facilities, and the expansion of construction work cause a lot of budget, traffic congestion, complaints.
Especially, most small-diameter pipes are buried in a narrow alley where the excavation equipment is difficult to enter. Therefore, there are many problems in terms of workability, economical efficiency and safety when performing replacement by manual excavation method. In many cases, they are left unattended without actual construction.

If new or replacement pipeline construction is carried out without excavation of the ground, the construction period can be shortened and the budget can be saved, as well as inconveniences caused by excavation of the ground and civil complaints can be reduced.

Close Fit Lining

- Continuous traction and insertion to the arrival device by passing through the swage die for diameter reduction while keeping the pulling force of the HDPE tube in old pipes

- After a certain period of time, the pulling force is removed and the tensioned HDPE tube is reduced and the reduced diameter is expanded by the natural restoring force

- Expanded HDPE tube is attached to the inner wall of the cap tube to extend the life of the tube

- The inner diameter of the new pipe is reduced compared to the inner diameter of the existing pipe, but the flow characteristic is improved by the high 'C' value of the PE pipe

Technical Overview Reduce the diameter of the new tube, pull and insert it and restore it to the initial diameter by Tension Release or water pressure
Applicable pipe diameter 100mm or more
Applicable pipe type Applicable irrespective of pipe type
1 time construction extension 1,000m or less
Used pipe type HDPE (High density polyethylene)
Construction performance A variety of world-class achievements such as USA, UK etc. (MPC)
Others The inner diameter is reduced compared to that of the existing pipe, but the flow characteristics are improved by the high 'C' value

Pipe Bursting

- A method of using the cone rupture / crushing head and blade to crush the existing tube and replace the tube with a new tube connected to the rear
- Connect the shredding head and new pipe to the A work zone and install pulling equipment in the B work zone for pulling
- The new pipe is buried at the existing pipe location, and the shredded existing pipe remains around the new pipe
- Applicable to all types of pipes, and polyethylene multiple cladding is used in new pipes for protection
- Before replacing the existing old pipes, underground pipe locating method is carried out proactively in order to minimize the increase of the excavation area and the risk of breakage of other obstacles
- Multistage connection of shredding head and expansion HEAD to crush pipes enables construction in 90 ° elbow section (small diameter)
